Good Reads self challenge

Last year I read 137 total books. About half of those were me revisiting books on my shelf that have been there since I was a teenager through my early 20s. I set my Good Reads goal this year to 150. My goal this year is to explore some trends so that I try reading more popular works, revisit some of my favorites, and stick to less YA and more New Adult and up.

2025 Non-Fiction Reading Challenge

Next up is the 2025 Non-Fiction Reading Challenge hosted by the lovely ShellyRae over at Bookd’out. I read a lot of biographies so I am interested in seeing what other kinds of non-fiction that I can work into my list this year. I will make a blog post later in the year showing where I am at with that.

The Bibliolifestyle Challenge

This one has a checklist that I feel like I can achieve throughout the year.

  1. Read a book with “New” in the title.
  2. A book featuring an unusual friendship.
  3. A book with a floral cover or nature theme.
  4. A book set in a place you would like to visit.
  5. A book that has won a notable award.
  6. A book by a debut author.
  7. A book with a journey or a road trip.
  8. Read a Translated Book.
  9. A book recommended by a librarian.
  10. A spooky or atmospheric mystery.
  11. A memoir or biography.
  12. A classic or book published over 50 years ago.

I plan on updating this post throughout the year with my updates unless I start a new page for it.

What other challeges are you taking this year to find your new favorite read?
